I love this trick. We are learning? it right now. What command do you use for it though?
I wish I could teach mine this…. My dogs are too tall and I’m too short! They? don’t fit under me!
Tried for a couple mins with a book, no luck. Switched to a mat and instant results! Puppy knows better than to stand on books…?
now that? i have my dog reliably standing on my feet I found out that his 40kg are too heavy for me to start walking
Great training advice, thanks! ?
Thank you so much for this tutorial! At first when i started training my Westie he wouldn’t do anything. I had to later skip the steps of the paw targeting, and just went into the part of bringing him in between my legs. This actually worked! I now have him putting both paws on my shoes and, being able to move around a bit! Thanks so much! I know when this trick is done it? will look so cute!(:
This was really good :] It’s really useful when your dog already knows targeting.? How did you teach Splash to bounce?
Hi kikopup, my dog is extremely intelligent, and knows almost 100 different tricks, but I cannot seem to get her to dothe Cop Cop trick! She is reluctant to place BOTH paws on my feet, and if she does, it is on only one? foot, not both. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
how many? dogs do u have
LOOOOVE? Splash’es bounce!!!!!!!
Cute! I was getting frustrtaed not knowing what to teach, i? think ill do this
Have you made that video that you promised about training a dog to not go certain places like the street ; kinda like a shock collar for staying in a given patch? of land?????
You are the clicker authority !
How you make the training look smoothe? !
When? is the best time to add the verbal cue? I’m probably going to say ‘cop cop’.
I love this method! I had been trying other ways to do this but Jackson was always very reluctant to place his feet on mine and was leary of doing it. I had kind of given up on the trick for a few months, but came and re-watched this video, and within 5 minutes Jackson was placing his feet on mine. He started with one foot, but moved to two. I took the book away that I used too soon tho, but that’s our progress as of tonight! I have not yet begun? to move my feet, I don’t want to frighten him
i really like the way you? doit
Splash is? so cute
Wow, very fun, I got my pup to stand on me feet in about 3 minutes! now? I need to add the walking, when do I ad the cue? at the very end?
I am going to try this tomorrow with my westi! That’s really awsome!?
(now I just need to take the turkey for her from the freezer and we can start in the morning
Amazing!!?
How did you teach? splash to bounce like that?
This is great, thanks Emily! I’ve started this with my dog Athena, and she’ll target a book, and then target a book through my legs, but is reluctant when I move my feet closer together. She’s a? little weird about her feet, so I think this is going to really help her feel more confident about putting them on different surfaces.
I love this video! I’m going? to attempt to teach this trick! Thanks for the awesome tutorial Emily!
This looks fun! I found a ‘thing’ in my garden that I thought I’d save ‘in case in came in useful for something’ and I reckon it’ll make a great mini? target mat. Wondering why this trick is called ‘cop cop’? Gonna check out the link and see if I get any answers!
