www.sitmeanssit.com This is a swim-by drill that is used in hunting retriever training, but is done here by my Belgian Malinois ‘Nash’. I did not have a ‘whistle’ on me, so I just gave him a verbal command to ‘sit’ on his way out. I am the one holding the camera and also doing the video, so you can hear whatever commands that I give. The dog swims completely straight out until I stop him, then moves side to side across the body of water, only getting out at the end points. Swimming straight lines across long bodies of water takes a good bit of practice. The dog is ‘swimming by’ me on his way back across the water. Straight lines are used in lots of different sports. Hunting retriever sports are primarily for Labrador Retrievers and other ‘retriever’ type breeds. http Franchise information can be found at franchise.sitmeanssit.com
