Lol, loved it!
My dog barks like crazy, constantly, and the neighbors have been complaining…we even got a notice from the police, even though we keep him inside…how can I teach my dog to be quiet? The coins in a can method doesn’t sound very nice, nor does a? shock collar…we are considering having him de-barked.
Could you do a tutorial? Thanks!

Is there a particular stimulus that your dog is reacting to? Like noises from neighbors or someone walking by the front window? If so- research counter conditioning. Pat Miller does a great job of explaining this training technique in Positive Perspectives (2). If your dog is simply barking to bark, maybe he or she is bored and needs a? job. In that case, start teaching obedience and/or tricks! There are plenty of resources here on youtube….

Nice concept, Zack. This is how I actually taught my malinois howdoyousay it in english…lean forward with his paws extending, we? call it “a bow” )) It just did that every time after sleep, so I caught it and made it into a command.
